Natalie S.

Natalie completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Theology from Emmanuel College in Boston. During her time at Emmanuel, she worked as an Admissions Ambassador and tutor at the Academic Resource Center. She also completed various internships including a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at Kansas State University studying biochemical interactions. Natalie has excelled in upper-level chemistry and physics coursework including her second favorite type of chemistry, physical chemistry!

She began tutoring for general chemistry as a sophomore in college. Eventually she expanded outside of the college and began tutoring math up to calculus and any science. She has worked with students in fourth grade all the way up to college seniors. Natalie has experience reaching students of all levels where they are and pulling the most out of them. Her individualized approach focuses not just on content, but developing internal motivation for learning. She is also available for executive function coaching, drawing from her experience struggling with executive dysfunction. It was a hurdle she overcame and looks forward to helping more students unleash their potential.

Currently she works as a chemical engineer in California and loving it. When she’s not working, she enjoys running (currently training for a 1/2 marathon), reading, and watching Star Wars (cartoons are the best). Natalie also has an appreciation for cosmetic chemistry and makes soap for friends and family in her spare time.
