Karla A.


Karla graduated from Harvard College in 2024 with an A.B. in Applied Mathematics and currently works as a data analyst at a pricing consulting firm in Chicago, IL. During college, she also worked as a data analyst with the Harvard Data Analytics Group and conducted biomedical research at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Karla brings a range of teaching and tutoring experience, including calculus, SAT, and ACT programs. She served as a course assistant at Harvard College for introductory calculus during both the academic year and summer sessions. She also led cohorts of incoming students to prepare for college math as a team lead with the Math Fluency Initiative. Additionally, she has tutored domestic and international students in SAT math, reading, and writing.

In high school, Karla completed several AP courses and was recognized as part of the National Hispanic Recognition Program, an AP Scholar, and an Illinois State Scholar.

Karla believes in fostering a consistent and collaborative environment to help students achieve their full academic potential. She aims to support students in developing the skills to build academic independence and honor their unique learning styles as they work toward success in school and beyond.
